President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that he is ready to move in and take Iraq. So far he has denied allegations that Iran is actively involved in the war in Iraq, but his recent announcement that there is a vacuum of power forming in the government of Iraq, and he is ready to fill that vacuum. Great Mahmy, you do all you can to disrupt the progress of the Iraq government, then "offer" to come help? I guess we are all just supposed to thank you for making a war that would have lasted months, last years, and now bow down to you becuase, out of the goodness of your heart, you are now willing to accept this heavy burdon. Nice little power grab. The sad thing is, the useless UN and the left will probably see him as a hero.

So far this is what I was able to find on that. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I hadn't heard that yet. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8RA3C100&show_article=1 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20297263/ http://prisonplanet.com/articles/august2007/290807accusations.htm I'm sure there will be more in time to come...just probably not in most mainstream media.

Iran has assumed the power void left since the first Gulf War. Iraq still had money but their legitimacy as a military power was destroyed by sanctions and literally by the US military in the first Gulf War.

Considering that al-Sadr has been spending a lot of time hiding out in Iran this past year, how many would care to speculate who Iran will pick as Iraq's puppet leader if this should happen?
