What generation are you? 1st, 2nd 3rd?

My parents immigrated to Canada from Jamaica which makes me a 1st generation Canadian. I have many friends who are also 1st generation Canadians. Their families came from countries in the Caribbean, Guatamela, Greece, Italy, India, Philippians and Africa to name a few. I can only count on one hand people who are 3rd generation Canadians.
So what I am curious to find out is where did your parents immigrate from and what generation are you?

Well first of all I'm a real mix of ethnic groups...I'm part Native American, but also German,Dutch, French, Spanish, Irish, Scottish, English and Welsh believe it or not...So with the Native American side who knows how far back I could consider myself..way back! LOL The German side came over to America around 1710, the Irish side are the "newcomers"--my great-great grandfather came to America in 1851, so I'm about fifth generation there????

Wow you must have some really intresting family functions. Your foods must have a mix of everything. 5th generation that is cool.
