1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 3. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: 5. Honour thy father and thy mother: 6. Thou shalt not kill. 7. Thou shalt not commit adultery. 8. Thou shalt not steal. 9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. 10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his axx, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

Best I can say is that I try. And everyday is a new attempt to keep them better. For me the 3rd and 4th are probably broken the most. I really need to work on number 4 and I would expect us to agree that it is broken by most people every week. Number 3 is more a matter of careful self control. So do you keep the 10 Commandments faithfully?

I'm a lot like you....I try my best at them, but can't say I'd ever accomplish the task fully. Thank the Lord for Jesus! With his help, I am more aware of what I am doing and keep practicing doing what's right. #1 no other gods before me. That's pretty much anything that occupies our thoughts and time more than the Lord. #7 did you know the Bible says that even when we look at another person and think lustful thoughts about them....it's just like actually doing it. #8 have you ever taken a pen or pencil from work? even the simplest things that don't belong to us is stealing. #9 telling lies.....even white lies as some people call it #10 keeping up with the Jones' and wanting what other people have. God pretty much covered everything with all of these didn't he.

Keeping the Sabbath day holy is very important to me. I do go to my local church on Sundays, volunteering there helps me to be sure I'm there too. Days I'm ill I try to make every effort to watch "TV Church" as I call it. The hardest for me is during desert season, I try to make special times on Sunday to read the Word or have a little devotional with my kids & husband. The main thing to me about the Sabbath...is to be sure to set aside a day of rest and whole heartedly acknowledge the Lord on that day. But don't make the Sabbath day the ONLY day that you acknowledge the Lord in your life. I do agree not many people honor that commandment, it must have been pretty important to God for him to make it one of the top 4.

I certainly try, but it isn't always easy. We have to remember that "all sin and fall short of the glory of God."

Great point! We all sin and definitely fall short of the glory of God. There is no way that we can keep every rule perfectly....we're all sinners and need a Saviour. I'm so thankful for Jesus. It's only because of him that the Lord will even recognize or come to know any of us at all. Thank you for your response.

I only dont go to church every Sunday. Others all I keep. I send my son to Sunday-School at church. Only I find it difficult to go to church everyday because of my daughter. She has to wake up every day at 5.30 am to go to Nursery, she's only 4 yrs.(I know you'll be amazed but its a fact) So I let her sleep as long as she wants on Saturday and Sunday. This is not giving excuses by the way. But every now and then we go to church as a family (our service is at 7.00 am on Sunday)

Our services start around 10:30am, but I get there a little before 10am to help usher and greet people. The lead ushers are such sincere, loving people. They're excited to have anyone help and when you do show up to help...you feel like you've been long lost buddies. I really love it and look forward to getting to know people in the church that way and just sharing smiles. One Sunday a woman came into the church looking so solemn, I was able to connect eyes with her and a sincere smile sprouted on both of our faces. That was so worth being a part of.

I try to keep them....But I also break some other rules of the church! I'm having a baby and live with my bf we are not anyday soon getting married! I see how many people judge others because of things they do but really I'm sure most of them are christian and have or do break some of God's rules!

Certain commandments are also every country's law such as do not steal, irrelevant whether you are living in a christian country or not.

Sometimes but I dont believe in God so I just consider them to be common sense. Do on to others as you want done on to yourself.

Before I kept the commandments, I asked myself, "What is the essence of this commandment". Was it a trap from God? He knew that we couldn't do it... then I knew that the commandments are not only speak about justice, but the essence is to Love God and Neighbor. So, I try to love God and neighbor. I think this is the way to keep the commandments.
