Dealing on a car

Well after much thought and talks we went looking for a different car. It's a gong show to see what people are selling for big money. Unreal. We went pricing vehicles and we narrowed it down to a Kia Rondo and a Toyota Rav4. It's pretty scary stuff at the prices. What do you prefer a Toyota or a Kia? I prefer a Buick but that's way out of our league. Thanks friends for your advice.

We were just discussing new cars with my mechanic. He said you can't go wrong with a Honda or a Toyota. Mechanically they are the best.
I am looking at getting one of those use certified Hondas in the next couple of years.

Toyota's have been on the top of Consumers Guide for many
years as the best vehicle as far as maintenance etc.

Well since we live in different countries, I don't think we share a mechanic, but I am going to guess both of them can't be wrong.

Well I'll be. The young fella we get here at the garage told me the very same thing. I went in to ask him because he has a very good reputation and is a very good mechanic he told me what to stay away from and highly recommended I look at a Toyota and Honda. We don't have a Honda here I'd have to go to the next big city.

II think the Kia's are ok. But, if I had the choice, I'd probably want, the RAV4. I know someone that has one. It's been a good car. Take care.

Thank You so much and Take Care. myLot may not be a paying site in terms of getting rich but the comments, friendships and the information we can share is priceless. Take Care!!!

Well if I only have the choice of them 2 lol then I will be going for the Toyota as I think they are lovely Cars
I personally have a VW but I have that through the Disability and I bought it second Hand so that means I pay my own Insurance and that
There is another Option where I can get a brand new Car every 3 years and I do not pay Insurance and that they do but I wanted the car to be my own so I went for the second Option and I love the car
I bought it last year February
But yes I would say Toyota
Hugs to you

I also am a Buick man. Thats due to my family ties and work with GM in actuality. I get a really decent employee/family discounft on GM cars. So thats the reason I buy GM.s especially my 2005 Buick LeSabre pictured here. But if I HAD to choose I'd take the Rav4.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I love your car!!!I wished mine was as new as yours. I think you'll be surprized when you see the photo of mine. It's a 1994 and in beautiful shape for a 94. I hate to have to part with it. The seats are like new. I have always had my hand crocheted covers on the seats. I'm so sad to have to part with the ol' girl. I have another post to do tomorrow and I'll send along a photo.

I always check on the price and availability of spare parts and repairs before buying a car. It's probably still a toss up on those two. I'd be inclined to go for the RAV 4, cos I think Toyota has a stronger reputation...Kia to me doesn't have the same standards as Toyota. It's probably cheaper but you need quality in a car. Also, resale value is important and the Toyota would come out better in this area. I also need comfort....lot's of leg room cos I'm tall and not too hard to get into and out of...back & knee problems being prevalent with me. Hope this helps...

I would never have thought to check the price of parts and service because for me being able to pay for the vehicle is number one, but I do like your idea and I certainly think it's a very good idea. Thanks for the heads up. I have an appointment with a Toyota tomorrow, that'll be interesting!!!

I know what you mean about wanting to stick to the Buick but not being able to afford it. We actually have discussed buying a Kia, although we will not be doing it any time soon. My old car is going to have to get us by for quite a while yet before we can buy anything else.

This is right. I wish everyone could see my car. That's what I'll try to do is take a picture. It has No rust, the seats are burgandy velour, no stains not tears and the seats are in new condition. I have always kept crocheted covers over the seats. The car looks georgous but no one can find the problem. It doesn't burn a drop of oil between oil changes and it has always had regular scheduled oiled changes.
