I have our dinner for tonight in the crock pot. I'm making beef stew so I put it in there on low and I'll keep it in there until my husband gets home and we are ready to eat. It smells so good and it's making me hungry right now. I like to use my crock pot a lot during the cold months so I guess I'm bringing it out to get ready for the winter. HA HA!! I really don't use it that much during the summer months and I don't know why. Don't you like to smell the food when it's cooking like that all day?

hmmm this sounds very nice, and I take it sweetgirl has invited all of her Mylot family around for dinner tonight, I am on my way, to be honest I wouldn't know how to use a crock pot so dinner tonight will be an experience...

I love to use my crock pot. I almost bought the meat for beef stew yesterday myself,but my husband wanted ribs. I love the convenience of putting the food into the crock pot and having it done when I get home from work. I make stews,soups,and roasts in it the most.

I love the convenience too. I make stews, soups, and roasts in mine too. I actually tried a new recipe with apples called Apple Brown Betty in the crockpot and it was pretty good. That was the first time I ever made a dessert in my crockpot.

My wife makes some great home made beef stew. I love the smell of food cooking all the time. Like right now my house smells great as I just finished some apple crumble again about an hour ago. The cinnamon smell will be around for a few more hours too. We have a crock pot/slo-cooker as well. I buy those full meals in a bag at the stores often too. Just add a meat and cook on low for 6 or 8 hours. tasty meals actually for a decent price also. Mine doesn't get used a lot in the summer as my gas grill gets a healthy workout during the warm months. HAHAHA!!

I haven't tried those meals in a bag but I have seen them. I'll have to buy one sometime and try it out. Our gas grill gets used a lot in the summer too. My hubby does the grill, I don't even know how to turn it on. LOL
