Eugene Celebration

I went to the Eugene Celebration a few years ago. I found out very quickly, that if you were wondering where the 70's went, it was Eugene Oregon. The celebration included a street fair and a parade. The parade was very funny, very political, very strange and very entertaining. Part of the Eugene Celebration is the crowning of the SlugQueen. Yes, I said slug queen. This includes a parade of past slug queens, and a lot of slugettes. These characters are quite entertaining, including dragging plastic bags behind them to project the image of slime. The event is the 2nd weekend of September each year I believe. If you have the opportunity to join the fun, it will be worth your time!
