Netherlands

This is the last picture of my trip to Amsterdam that I am uploading for you today, it was hilarious:) Studs are to be found in every major city in the world, and they usually are there where they could be fed. We sat to get a drink in a bar on the Dam, just accros Madame Tussaud museum, and when they served the expresso with a biscuit, my dad threw a piece of it to the studs. And before he knew they were all over him, and his hands:) LOLOL! I was so amused and shot as many as possible but this is the only one with a stud on his arm:)Has something of the kind ever happened to you?

whoa!!!that was great because many of them and started taking food from your papa's hand. What I know, studs breed very rapid and always in group for flying and grounding. But why all studs are all black. Have ever come across stud with different color, I mean not black, thefortunes?

Oh my - I nearly choked on my tea and cake when I read this topic title! You see, in England, a Stud is a young man who is - erm - how can I put it delicately - very sexually active, and talented in that regard! So when i read your title, I had this immediate vision or lots of half naked, handsome young men eating out of your Dad's hand! Must say it created a very strange picture! Anyway - you can imagine my disappointment when I realised your studs were, in fact, what we call pigeons and not half-naked men at all...... though I guess your Father was somewhat relieved! It's a great picture anyway! Thanks for it my friend.

Oh my- please don't be embarrassed my friend! Your English is excellent - I have many friends from The Netherlands, and they are all fluent Englsh speakers too. And I don't now about your Dad- but I know that mine would laugh about this misunderstanding!

I live in the States. And the heading of this caught my eye. Here in the States a stud is a horse thats raised for breeding. Or a stud is what a woman refwers to sometimes as a virile good looking man. Now the stud in the photo is called a pidgeon here in the states. HAHAHA. We have these birds all over as well in various colors and they also love to eat from peoples hands and plates even outdoors. Thanks for sharing. I added a comment and rated the photo as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Believe me GP Bob, I feel so embarrassed with the error I made and have no idea why I called the pidgeons studs. I was doing several things all at the same time, writing the discussion, checking the uopload of photo's on Flickr, and writing an other one for a blog...shouldn't be doing it anylonger as it looks like the errors made could prove very embarrassing ;) I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw your and Rosie's reply to this discussion, and this is one of those times that i wish we were able to make changes in our discussion :) Thanks a lot for rating the photo, and for your comment too :)
