Well,i decided to go out side for the night routine of letting the dog go do its business before bed.As i was standing on the front step i heard a noise,i couldnt put my finger on it but it sounded familair. My dog did not want to get off the step and i found that funny and kind of annoying at the same time. There, there it is again! What in the world is that!!I went around to the back patio and looked.I never saw anything at first because the yard light does not shine that well there.I went closer and lo and be hold there was this great big fat racoon sitting on the grill of the barbecue licking it.It was not scared at all.It lokked at me and went back to its heavenly bbq grease.lol.I made a loud hissing noise and it ran.Actually ran past me down the steps. The dog ran to the front step and wanted to go in the house.Whimp!I forgot to close the bbq cover and invited an unexpected guest.Have you had unexpected animal guests before that were in a perdictament like this?

One night when we lived in the country my husband went out on the patio to shoo what he thought was a big cat away from the kittens food. When he reach down and touched the slick tail he realized that it was a possum not a cat. It never seemed to notice him it that intent on the food so he left quietly and quickly. We have a family of raccoons living next door to our shop. They adapt very quickly don't they

Those things have quite the sharp teeth from what i saw on the nature shows!Hes lucky he never got a bite.lol.Oh yes, they adapt quickly and i dont want any around here.A couple days ago i went outside at night and heard the bird feeder banging and clanging.I turned the yardlight on and i saw 2 racoons banging and pushing the wooden pole and one climbed up it.I thiught a cat had scratched my pole, but it was one of them the night before that must of did it.Its the time of year they start packing on the weight for the winter and they think its easy pickings here.lol.My dog is not good for nothing but run and bark.lolShes small though,a pomerarian.Im scared of rabies.:):)
