I love when a certain smell takes me back to being a child....

I know its kind of funny...but I was cleaning my moms house a while back. She still uses the same cleaners I used to clean it when I lived at home. I don't personally use the same cleaners in my house. It was like going back to being 16 and cleaning her bathroom again. Just the smell of the cleaner brought me back. I find that certain smells or places that we go to will do the same thing. Makes me a bit nostalgic for a few days when that happens.

For me, its carnival style fries. That always does it. I have so many memories of fairs and carnivals and having so much fun as a child! Usually that smell itself can take me back decades in time.

I have had the same feel as yours. When I was still a child, I usually did my homework in my grandma's cozy house, and I didn't realize what is unusual. But last month when I went out to a strange office because of some things, a familiar smell came to me and it suddenly made me remember the nice days I did my homeword in my grandmother'house 15 or 16 years ago. Yes, it is just a smell that brings me back to my wonderful days. As you say, it makes me a bit nostalgic for a few days when that happens.
