Our Angels laid eggs again last week. Guess we are going to deal with this every month when we do a water change. Today they are - sort of - free swimming. They try but the parents put them back on the filter tube. So I tried putting 3different food to see what the babies wanted - live baby brine shrimp, flake food made for baby fish, frozen brine shrimp. The only food they really went after was the frozen shrimp. Is it okay to give them this? They seemed to really enjoy, plus the frozen shrimp is much better on my pocket book.

I can't answer this, but I am interested in what you are doing. Many yeara ago we had fish hat laid eggs, & then hatched. Or was it live birth. I'm not sure now.
I remember going through the drama of seperating the young from the adults, as the adults will eat them, & buying special baby food.
It was fun. I don't have time to do all that now. Its enough coping with the three baby birds in our garage.

Angel fish (thankfully) take care of their young. They can be left in the same tank. Our big pain is separating the rest of the fish. We have a 55 gallon tank and the Angel's keep laying eggs on the filter. So We have 55 gallons worth of fish we have to cram inside 1/2 the tank for lord knows how long. We have 2 other tanks, 5 gallons each. One of them is guppies which have babies non-stop. I am always catching the babies and separating them from the adults. It is fun the first time or tow, but they have been having babies for over a year now non-stop. It is a bit much with babies in 2 tanks now.

New hatched brine shrimp is really the best because it is swimming and give the baby fish the hunting instinct. If you cannot give them live brine shrimp then frozen baby brine shrimp is also good. When they get large enough give then some finely crushed flake foods and also make sure to give them a good variety of foods. Do not skimp on water changes, one every week or even more often to get the best and fastest growth on them. When I say a water change I mean only about 20 to 30% that you take out and replace with dechlorinated tap water (as long as it is god enough for the fishes), that is about the same temp.
