I love dogs but i especially love huge dogs. You can realy fool around with them and not worry about being too rough. Their also great for chasing away criminals. These are some of my favourites:
German short haired pointer - great hunting dogs, good with kids, great companions
Great Dane
Rotweiler
Ber bull
Husky

I love dogs too, but I like mine just a tad smaller. Though I must admit, I got bitten by a Rottie, no reason. THe owners then drove away with the dog and I had to get rabie shots and am not real fond of them.
I do realize that any dog can bite, but I don't think the rottie will make my short list.
My labs chase away criminals - my black one has been mistaken for a rottweiler by a handyman.
I have had bodies in the past, I had a female who weighted in at about 125 pounds and she was solid. She was a great dog.
