all the media's attention and large reward offers by famous and rich persons? 1000's of people go missing everyday and a lot of them are children, so why is that Madeline's case is getting the most attention and reward offers? I think it's wrong for the world to focus on only one missing person's case......very, very wrong. I hope Madeline and all other missing children are found, my heart goes out to them all.

I think it is because the case is just so strange. These people are doctors, they were so negligent, and now they may have killed the poor sweet little girl themselves. I think possibly the reason so many celebs got behind it was because she was from the UK where apparently not as many kids go missing. My ex boss is from the UK and was deeply moved by Madeline's case yet...not as much other kids who go missing. Then again, we heard of many kids via the media. It's the ones that are strange or odd that get the most attention but I have seen coverage of everyday kids who go missing even in my own area. It's not a big media circus but they do cover those things. I think Madeline is the current "strange case" for the media. Before, it was Jon Benet Ramsey. They love that stuff and give it so much air time. I also hope every missing child is found safely including Madeline although things look pretty grim. It must be the worst feeling in the world for a child to go missing. Unless, of course, you had something to do with it. Makes me sick to think some parents are involved in their own kids disappearing and dying.

I agree with you about the parents being irresponsible, I would never leave my child alone while i dine in a near by restaurant! Especially in a foreign country! I don't know enough about the case, only what the media has told us, and i did think that Maddie's parents were guilty when i heard about the over dose of the sleeping pills, it did seem quite believable, but now i don't know what to believe, now that i've just heard about a photo taken a month ago by tourists in Morocco, it's hard to tell if the girl in the photo is Maddie, but it sure does look like it could be her. I hope it is!

Yes I agree with..Thousands of children go missing every week..Why focus and put all their efforts into just one child..Just dosnt seem very fair at all for all the other children..Very strange....

In deed, it is not fair. I think a part of it has to with the parents being rich and Maddie being pretty. The media is so superficial.

I also hope and pray Madeline is found as well as all other missing children but you're so right, unfortunately, Madeline is a beautiful blue-eyed blonde and for some reason the exceptionally beautiful children or young people always get the most press. Same way with Natalee Holloway who went missing in Aruba. There have been many other teens who have gone missing since then but Natalee captured everyone's attention. The beautiful victim makes for very good TV apparently, but everyone who goes missing deserves the same amount of attention whether they fit a certain standard of "glamour" or not. This was a great topic to start! Annie
