Six Theories For 2012

United States
October 2, 2007 2:58pm CST
There are Six major theories for what will happen in 2012. * One: According to the Bible Code the world will end due to a collision with a meteor or comet. * Two: According to spiritualist writer Bob Frissell, John Major Jenkins and others, humankind will ascend into a higher state of collective consciousness. * Three: The Olduvai cliff will begin and permanent blackouts will occur worldwide, according to "The Peak Of World Oil Production And The Road To The Olduvai Gorge" by Richard C. Duncan. * Four: December 21 - End of the great cycle of the Maya calendar's Long Count, and thus the alleged end of our world (the end of the cycle is dated December 23 by some calculations). Also interpreted as a change in human consciousness: the end of the world as we know it but the start of a new one. * Five: Terence McKenna's Novelty Theory claims that time is a fractal wave of increasing novelty that ends abruptly in 2012. * Six: Absolutely nothing at all! * Give me your prediction for the year 2012.

the 2012 olympics are a washout in london as it rains non-stop from start to finish. i write the best selling novel 'How i made my first million on mylot' the UN adopt the Venusion calender which misses out 2012 completely and jumps to 2013, giving the term leap year a new meaning.

Lets face it! The world is still here and science says its over 6 Billion years old. Now what does that tell you? It tells me that all the world-ending predictions of the past have been TOTALLY wrong! And this tells me that there is every chance in the world, the sun will rise and set just as it always has in the year 2012. AS for the bible predictions..forget them and the Bible too. You want my prediction for 2012? I predict that all the predictions are worth, is a big bucket of Sh!t!

Agreed that the world has been here for 6 billion years. Has it look the same over the eons? Definately not. The cast of characters changes almost as frequently as broadway plays. First, we had nothing but life in the sea. Followed by bugs. Then reptiles. Then ice ages interspaced with jungles. * Do you not admit that a change if it's big enough can be termed 'end of the world'?

First, we had nothing but life in the sea. Followed by bugs. Then reptiles. Then ice ages interspaced with jungles. It was not until just reciently, the way Earth keeps time, that we Humans came on the scene. And then, by the world's reckoning, a moment ago that our civilization decided to change the Earth's face. * Do you not admit that a change if it's big enough can be termed 'end of the world'? * One eruption of a supervolcano, while not the termination of the planet, could do a serious number on the recent civilisation that Humans covered it with.

The year will begin with Secretary of State Joseph Biden and U.N Secretary General Bill Clinton making a joint announcement about the continued new era of peace and prosperity in the mid-east and the growing friendship between the U.S. and Iran. The recent holiday season will be declared the most profitable in history and it will be announced that for the first time ever there isn't a single American without adequate health care coverage. Solar and wind power has just edged out oil as our main source of energy and the polar bear population has held steady for two years now. The Clinton/Edwards ticket will easily win re-election and Senator Chealsea Clinton is already being mentioned as the front-runner for 2016. Other than that, little will change! Annie

As for #4, something like that happened back in the early 1990's and NOTHING happened. Some weirdos (well, okay, a LOT of weirdos) went out & got on a mountain peak & waited. I knew a bunch of people in the Mayan translating group here in town & we all got a good laugh out of these people. So, for 2012, I predict, everything stays the same.

Maybe, maybe again not. The Mayans unlike the Y2K'ers have yet to be proven wrong. Just what kind of change has yet to be said however. Things did in fact change in 2000, just not obviously. Computers were reprogrammed, THEY were inlightened LOL!

I hope the mayan thing is correct because the world really needs to restart because it has become so twisted and hateful. Number 2 sound nice but would that put the telecommunication sector out of bussiess?

Maybe, maybe again maybe not. Who knows, the telecommunication sector is evolving pretty fast. Fifty years ago, ask someone about the world wide web and all you would get is a wierd look. "Spiders?"

Number six! And I've never heard of any of them except the Mayan theory as far as destruction ocurring in 2012.. I don't find much evidence that mankind is evolving and entering a higher level of consciousness.. but am a believer in basically, the opposite, apocalypse.. there'll be a world government and world peace-but broken when the wailing wall is torn down in Jerusalem, and roughly three and a half years later, plus thirty five days, genocides begin, preceeded by the people not being able to buy anything without swearing allegiance to the world body.. No comets, no extraterrestrials.. just man.. and apocalypse, which this life is apocalypse anyway... But THE apocalypse doesn't happen until after there is a world governing (and the world made up of ten divisions). - This is mostly found in Daniel 12:11,12.

A bruised Jupiter after Shoemaker-Levy 9's impact - These bruises on planet Jupiter are each the size of our little Earth. If that thing hit us, that would have been an extinction event.
Shoemaker-Levy 9, the comet that slammed into Jupeter, made me believe more in comets. There is a lot of rocks and stuff floating around between the rocky planets and the gas giants. There is also stuff floating in and out of our solar system like boats in and out of a harbor at night. We don't have enough telescopes watching the sky. * These bruises on planet Jupiter are each the size of our little Earth. If that thing hit us, that would have been an extinction event. A smaller comet can cause a chain reaction on this planet if it hits us in the right spot, as it did to the Dinosaurs. Then, the planet survived, the Dinosaurs, with the exception of birds if you believe the theory that those winged creatures are so decended, did not.

My prediction for 2012 is an aurora borealis light show for the whole planet to see and not just the northern hemispherians. Also, the toilets will reverse their flow due to polar shifting. As for evolutionary enlightenment... ;)
