Do you think rummaging through the trash for something valuable is a time waste?

I was watching Jay Leno.. which I dont really like, but I was really bored and the "My Name is Earl" guy was on there tonight so I guess that's pretty cool & he did the Ebay thing on what would sell and what wouldn't, and an empty can of Paris Hiltons dog food was sold on Ebay for 330.00. I mean, how ridicilous is that? and it makes me wonder what else you could find rummaging through the trash..? What're your opinions?
