I just wanted to say, helmets can save your kids life. I had a daughter that passed away from head injuries after falling off her bike with out her helmet on. Also 2 years to the day of when we buried her one of her brother got hit by a car when he was on his quad and his helmet saved his life.

Yes my daughter who is 5 knows not to even get on her bike even inside the house without her helmet! I told her its just like the car seat and seat belt rule, which in our family is the car doesn't go anywhere until everyone is buckled! She has been really wonderful about the seatbelt rule even to yell at my friend who was in labor and HUGE who didnt bother to buckle in. My daughter yelled at me to turn off the DARN CAR UNTIL EVERYONE WAS BUCKLED!
She does fight me about the helmet especially when she is riding inside the house, however my fear is if I say ok no helmet inside she will no longer agree to wear it outside.
I am so sorry to hear about what happend to your daughter as well as your son, thankfully he must have learned from the terrible accident that took his sisters life, just how important wearing your helmet truly is. My heart is with you and your family!

Thanks so much. Yes before this they all had helmets they just didnt wear them all the time. That fatefull day none of them had them on and i still dont know why she didnt have her helmet on that day. But yes of course we learned the hard way that it olny takes one time and you never know. This happen right by the next door of where we were living at the time.
