Does Quitting smoking results in gaining weight..???

I know that cigarretes increase the rate of metabolism due to which we are likely to loose some weight. And I was wondeing if that goes in the same way if we quit. I mean to say is are we likely to gain weight if we quit smoking. I really want to know. Or it is just one of the myth that people have spread...

I don't think so. If you have a good metabolism even you are not a smoker, you can loose your weight. According to some doctor, it is easy to gain weight rather than loose a weight.

Quitting smoking doesn't mean that we will put on weight for sure.. depending on how u quit smoking will affect ur body.. So it's not entirely true that quitting smoking results in weight gain..

I don't know exactly but it may .But it is better to quit smoking & do exercise to loose weight.
