Reaching for the Sky

Well, I have everything tied up now to start up my business, so now, I have to get going on it!
A friend in America had a product which I was managing, some three years ago, to sell on the Internet for him, on his own back doorstep, whilst just chatting with people in games rooms. lol. So, he was impressed, and offered me the opportunity to sell this product in England.
It's taken me time, but I have at last found a backer, who has storage and fitters at my disposal, and who said he will start the ball rolling by giving me my first order and getting the product fitted. Wow!
I have spent some time sorting out the legalities of starting up a website, repricing the product, etc etc, so I'm ready to start building a business website. In the meantime, my backer, Richard, is going to fit the product in a local site, which can be used for "showing" to potential new buyers.
I'm excited... I know I can do well at this, but there is a lot of initial work, which is why I'm not revealing the product just yet. You will understand my need to keep it under wraps until I have everything up and running.
I just wanted you all to know that my "busy period" is paying off, and that perhaps my new life is about to kick in! It has certainly shrouded some of my disappointments which I've encountered of late.
Keep your fingers crossed for me, my friends... the Sky is the limit and I'm reaching for it!:)

Good for you and you will sooon see a good return on all your hard work!
I know how hard it is to start something like this even with a company that sets everthing up for you you still have to advertize and daughter has had a site up for 2 months now that hosting cost $30 a month and still has had no sales altho I have put it on every program I am in and we do free classifieds too. going broke here tring to get started lol

no gissi not included the one I am talking about is gift catolog and for we cant afford to put all the catologs up.
I scan the christmas Catolg but now dont know how to put it in on that site but I also have another domain name that I wanted to set that up in but still dont know how to buid a web page for that catolog lol .Have been wanting to get enough money up to buy some of the products my self and set up a yard sale or go to the flea market I did this one years ago at the flea market did quite well in New Orleans also should put out flyers but know with this cancer and all the doctor appointments right now its hard to get it all done. ya know.
aslo this onedelivers the product to the people homes so they mostly do US . for it cost so much to send to UK or any where else it seems so dont know that being set up on your site would help at this point. thanks any how hugs and blessings

Right, I'm with you. You need a website that caters for selling and showing products and prices I think. I usually just mess around with things until I can get them right, but if you ever need any help with it, I'll try my best to help you import your catalogue. Just shout my friend, when you have a little time to spare.
As for the flyers. If you could just get one set up and print a heap off, would your local newspaper shop put them in the papers for you, at a low cost? It would save you the hassle of delivering them yourself and they would get a wide catchment area for you.

This is fantastic, and a wonderful opportunity for you. It looks like things are going in the right direction for you. It takes a lot to get any business up and running, as i am finding out as well. I know you will do well, you have a great, positive attitude that will take you a long way. I will certainly keep my fingers crossed for you, as you get it all up and running. I cant wait to see it when its ready.

Hiya, Gabs. I thought you already knew what it was, but hope that if you don't, you'll understand why I need to keep it under wraps until I can build up a bit of business because there are a few people out there who wouldn't think twice about jumping in and stealing my thunder! lol. My friend, in Arizona put faith in me, and I have to justify that, if you see what I mean.
By the way, as you're not on messenger, I need to convey something to you here... I was showing offline this morning, and received a music file, in my messenger box... no words. I took that as a confirmation of what I said to you last night... hmmmm. ;P Going to Tony's soon for my usual Sunday hampering from the little Minx. he he.

Awwww, thank you Purple, my dear, loyal friend. Your offer of help is much appreciated but this has to be mainly built in England. America is already saturated with the product, or many parts of it, at least. You might be able to help at a later stage with banners or links though... so thanks for the offer.

For sure I won't forget any of you. My friends mean the World to me, and I value them greatly. I doubt I'll ever be that wealthy or successful but if I am, I will still be in to chat with you all. I couldn't face each day without the lovely friends I have, like you, Faith.

Being in the States, you very probably have come across the product before Gerty, but as far as I am able to see, this is new, in England, so understandably, I want to keep it under wraps until I've built some solid foudations.

Thank you so much Maddysmommy. I hope to be able to report back with some good news. It might take a while, as things seem to keep cropping up and knocking me back a step or two, but I'm a fighter, I'm stubborn and I'm determined, so I will never give in! :)
