Here's a photo of them. Well I guess what's left of them after my fall pruning expedition this afternoon. Doing a lot of garden work preparing the perrenials for next years blloms/crops etc. I really hate cutting things down after so much work but I know they will be back next Spring with a vengance. I hope anyhow. Yes these are/were my Lilies. HAHAHA!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Your full of energy!I never even got started cutting my flowers down in the gardens yet, hehe.Ive been too busy making halloween decorations for the front lawn.My daughter asked me too and mommy said yes, mmm.Have you thought about saving some leaves(stems)to make a floral wreath to hang on the outside wall of your house or inside with the cut lilies? This is what i made last year with mine.I added some dried flowers to give some color to it too.Im sure your wife would really love it or doing it.:):)

My bulbs out the front look much the same as yours in the photo. Oh well, at least you know people admired your lillies this year, & you can do it all again next year.

Wow you really are an avid gardner - and worked hard this weekend on your garden - cutting beautiful lilies- raking leaves - I guess twice - after your grandkids played with them! My son is just a baby - but if he's anything like me - he'll love playing in leaves too! There is something almost therapeutic about putting your hands in dirt - especially when warmed from the sun. I live in a desert state so its already cold!

Very sad picture :( I actually cut back the lillies right after they bloomed but right now am looking at a row of sunflowers I need to cut - frost got them and they look horrid now but am saving seeds to replant next year. That's the thing I don't like about the fall in our area of the country - I know soon all the beautiful flowers, and green plants will be buried in snow and it will be months before I see them again.

I adore lilies - they are my favourite flower of all time! I would love to be able to grow my own and look at them all the time but apart from the fact that I am brown fingered I don't think we have the climate! xxx

lilies in a bouquet for my BD - beautiful lilies in a BD bouqet
Hi GP Bob, well, this is life, people and flowers are alike, we are young and beautiful and become older and uglier with time, and than we pass away, and you did just that, cut the old blloms while expecting the new once. I rated and commented your shot too:) and am posting a photo of a lily in one of my bouqets for the past BD of mine TheFortunes

Zephryranthes Candida - Rain Lilies are late summer blooming bulbs.
I love Rain Lilies or its scientific name is Zephyranthes Candida, the full green leaves with white flowers. The colors of harmony. And it is the late summer blooming bulbs plant. A good sign for winter is under way.
