Do you have a hideaway?

Do you have a place you go when your unhappy, stressed, frustrated - or just want to be alone and not be found? This could be your bedroom, a restaraunt, a place in the woods on the beach - anywhere. How did you find it? I daydream. That's my hideaway - or read a good book or watch a good movie. I have a baby. If I didn't - I'd go to the aquarium - staring at the sea life is so relaxing.

Please let me tell you something about my story as a kid when I found my hideaway in the country where my aunt lived. When I was a kid, my family used to go to the country where my aunt lived as well as my mother's hometown to spend our traditional festival called the Spring Festival. One day when I had a quarrel with my cousin, I walked all the way to the mountain path in the village and walked and walked until I walked far away from my aunt's house. I was thinking about hiding myself somewhere in the mountain without their knowing where to find me. When I was far enough from the house and it was already getting dark, I started to feel scared as I heard my relatives in the country talk about the wolves that used to appear in the village. I ran all the way back to my aunt's with this terrifying idea in the mind. Later I never went to the mountain path again alone because of the fear of the wolves. Now thinking of this, I still feel scared. Thanks for your discussion that reminds me of my childhood days for that hideaway.

Ooh not quite what I meant - I meant a place you went to when you were sad, angry or wanted to be alone. A place you went to often. I love that you tell me stories though!!!

That was my hideaway when I was sad and upset as a kid. I was only talking about my past hideaway, not a present one, dear friend. Anyway thanks for your response.

Just my room, I don't have anywhere else, but I love my room, I made it the way I want it and it's my place to go no matter what.

Its nice to have a place you created to go to. Not everyone has a place in nature to go to - currently I don't as I stick to the base. And there is no place to go on my own - as I have a baby - unless you count the shower while my husband watches the baby - or naps as he does the same.
