Anyone have a good recipe for Mostacolli?

Not sure if I'm spelling it right, but it's meatballs, mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, and rigatoni noodles, just not sure of the exact ingredients. My mom and I used to go to this pizza place called Rolyno's that made it and it was SOOOO good! I really want to try and make it myself.

Title: Baked Mostaccioli Description: Ingredients: 8oz.of Mostaccioli---11/2lb.groundbeef---1/2.c.chopped onion---1/4c.of chopped green pepper---1 clove of gralic,minced--1-(28oz)c.tomatoes cut up---1 -8oz.c.tomato sauce---1 -6oz.c.tomato paste----1 -40z c.mushroom----1/2c.water---1tsp.salt----1tsp sugar----1tsp. dried basil crushed------1/8 tsp.pepper-----1 large bay leaf----6oz.sliced mozzarella cheese---1/2 c. grated parmesam cheese Directions: cook mostaccioli in salt water--14 min. or til tender.cook beef,pepper,garlic ,till meat is browm,drain than stir in tomatoes,tomato paste,tomato sauce,mushrooms,water,salt,suger,basil,pepper and bay leaf. bring to boiling. remove bay leaf in a 3qt.pan or a large pan layer start with the mostaccioli ,than sauce than cheese keep on doing that till the pan is full or you run out of everything ,cover with foil bake at 350 for 35 min. Number Of Servings:serves 10

this is the only authentic recipe i have seen online! the only thing my mom added to this was a couple of pieces of well cooked, crumpled bacon. fantastic!

Here is a tasty recipe: MOSTACCIOLI SALAD 6 slices bacon 1 1/2 cups Miracle Whip Salad Dressing 2 tablespoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt 6 cups pasta, *cooked & drained 1 green bell pepper, chopped 1 onion, chopped 3 carrots, shredded Cook bacon until crisp. Drain bacon, reserving 2 tablespoons fat. Mix reserved fat, dressing, sugar and garlic salt in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients; mix lightly. Refrigerate. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon before serving. Makes 8 servings. *Use mostaccioli (16 oz.) Serving Size: 8.

Thank-you! I have yet to try a recipe out on this, I'm just not a very good cook so I'm kinda scared it won't turn out right,lol!

here are some recipes from the net BAKED MOSTACCIOLI WITH SAUSAGE & PEPPERS 1 lb. Italian sausage, casings removed 1 med. onion, sliced & separated into rings 1 c. water 16 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1 green pepper, thinly sliced 4 c. meatless spaghetti sauce 16 oz. Mueller's ridged mostaccioli In a large skillet, stirring frequently brown sausage with pepper and onion over medium-high heat 6-8 minutes. Stir in spaghetti sauce and water. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Spread 1 cup sauce in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Top with 1/2 the mostaccioli, 2 cups mozzarella and the Parmesan. Spread on 2 more cups sauce and mozzarella. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until heated. Serves 6-8. ------------------------------- BAKED MOSTACCIOLI 8 oz. Mostaccioli (16) 1 lb. hamburger (2) 1/2 lb. Italian sausage (1) 1/4 c. chopped onion (1/2) 1/4 c. green peppers, chopped (optional) 1 clove garlic, minced (2) 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, pureed (2) 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce (2) 1 (6 oz.) tomato paste (2) 1 tsp. salt (1 tsp. enough) 1 tsp. sugar (2 tsp.) or use white soda 1 tsp. basil (2 tsp.) 1/8 tsp. pepper (1/4 tsp.) 1 lg. bay leaf (2) 1/2 c. Parmesan (1 c.) 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella (12 oz.) Cook pasta in boiling salted water until almost tender. Drain. Cook beef, pork, onion, green pepper and garlic until browned. Drain. Add tomatoes, sauce and paste and seasonings. Add 2 cups water, cover and simmer 30 minutes. Stir in Mostaccioli and put in 9x13x2 inch pan. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Place Mozzarella cheese (in serving size pieces) on top and bake 5 minutes more.
