during the time when technology is not yet this advance, webster's dictionary is very famous. most students use it when they want to know the meaning of the word they don't understand. now that computers are part of our daily existence it seems Mr. Webster has been set aside. with just one click on the computer, 1000+ meaning of a single word can be found., students don't need to flip the pages of any dictionary to look for a sinlge word again, a genious Mr. Computer can do that for them.:) with this technology advancement, does the old Webster's Dictionary still has a place in your house? in our home we still have it, it was place on our bookshelf in the family hall for my niece and nephew's need.

I still have webster's dictinoary at home. Well, technology has improved so much and nobody uses even a pocket dictionary now a days because everthing is computerised but somehow i am not able to throw that dictionary away because it is of real use to me, more than the computer is.

its a good decision that you still keep it. aside from its sentimental value, you can still pass that on to other people.

I have a book dictionary at home, but since I can just type in what I want here, www.yourdictionary.com www.m-w.com, that kinds of put the regular book one to the curb. But I am glad for the hardcover one since my father used to tell me when I wanted to know something and what it was to "look it up in the dictionary" I felt kind of put off by it, but with time I realize that his knowledge only went so far, and that the dictionary was there in case we had a problem. He even went and bought two sets of encyclopedias(one for us,as well as one for my brother and sister who lived with their mom)and a set of books on the African American Experience(which we still have, and I still see whenever I go to my brother's. we loved that one a lot.
