What causes ratings to go down?

My rating was an 8 and then 7 and now 6 what is happening? Why is my rating going down? Does anybody know?

the people that rate you, if they don't like what you are writing or how your responding to a discussion, they downgrade you. sucks, but that's how it works.

Most of the time ratings go down b/c someone has negative rated you. Some ppl do it just for spite. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

i am sorry, i am here not to answer your question, on the contrary, i want to ask you a question: what's the use of rating? you know, i have just gotten my star and a number, however, i dont know what's that for, or what's the meaning of it. so could you explain that to me. thank you.

Old discusssion I know -- but you're back up to an 8. Congrats. The highest I've been is a 44/100 which is a 4. I'm back down to 39/100 today. Guess I pissed some people off last night. =) Good luck. Maybe you'll get to that 10 star within a few weeks.
