School Auction

We are having an auction in Novemeber to raise money for our school.
One of the items that has been donated for the auction comes from our 7th grade class. They decided to do two christmas trees. One of them is going to be decorated in LSU Purple and Gold and the other one in Arkansas Razorback Red and White.
There are fans from both Teams in the class, including parents who graduated from each of the schools.
It has been fun so far, because LSU has sent us ornaments...really great ornaments. We've gotten nothing from the Arkansas side, which is really sad since we live in Arkansas. We did a really ugly arkansas pendant and 4 old shirts that were freebies from those that attended soccer and baseball games.
We are hoping to get the media involved since the big game between LSU and Arkansas is 6 days after the auction.

I did send an e-mail to the president of the razorback foundation, and bragged on the ornaments that LSU sent! They are now sending us more stuff. Of course, now the LSU foundation wants me to call them as soon as we get the stuff from Arkansas. This may be so much fun before it's over with.

we found out today that one of the television stations are going to broadcast live from our coffee shop on Friday. I think I'm going to see if the 7th graders will plug their tree to the crew and see what we can get going! If I could get one station interested, I think the auction would attract alot of attention.

How funny! I was getting ready to post another discussion about the referees in the Arkansas game on Saturday, and this conversation popped up and I noticed that I had a new comment. I don't know how I missed it!
Anyway! I know it's a little late, but the LSU tree sold for $175. The Arkansas tree sold for $190. Only because someone wouldn't let the LSU tree bring in more than the Razorback tree!
