We live on a farm and grow corn but in our garden we grow blackeyed peas, potatoes, tomatos, onion, squash, all kinds of peppers, and zukiny? spelling, Anyway its fun and we live off of it. I deer hunt and grow hogs for meat. Stores will kill you with the poison foods these days.

I would like to have one.But imagine having a garden in a city where people find it hard to move freely without stumbling on each other.

My Vegie Patch - my vegir patch in the back yard
I hve just started my first vegie patch, I have some big pots and I planted 2 cherry tomatoes, 1 large tomato, a pot of raddishes and a pot of baby beetroot. I feel like I am a farmer, it is great watching them grow and i will be able to sit out in my yard and pick the cherry tomatoes straight from the plant, next year I will have even more.

What I am into now is container gardening. I mostly have herbs right now, and jalapeno peppers. But at one point, I also had cherry tomatoes, bellpeppers, lettuce and of course, herbs. I'd love to transplant my plants into the ground soon. Homegrown veggies and herbs taste a whole lot better than store-bought ones. Also, you can't beat the awe in being able to harvest your won food, seeing them grow and all that. Happy gardening!

Yes I have a vegetable garden in the backyard and I plan on enlarging it next year. I make sure to compost everything so that it will need less organic fertilizer (I try to only use natural products to feed the soil and plants).I did manage (in spite of the low rain this year) to grow a couple of pumpkins that weighed about 50 pounds each. We did have plenty of egg plants, peppers, tomatoes, bush beans, and corn. I would love to be able to have a couple of acres of organic garden so that I could save a lot on grocery bills. And by going organic I know that the food is safe and I will not be getting sick or making the Earth sick.

I don't have a garden. My grandparents had a vegetable garden when they still worked in their own restaurant. I loved it and I knew that if its possible I want to have such a garden too. I'm kinda angry with everybody who has a garden and doesn't use it for something.. (not talking about something particular)
