Nazanin is a 17 year old Iranian girl who as she defended herself from 3 gang rapists managed to kill one of them. Now, she has been sentenced to hang till death.

Just as President Ahmadinajab said Iran did not have homosexuals, I suppose he would maintain they don't have rapists, either.
What's your opinion of this? Will you help by sending an email?

I thought you are very responsible user of this community. I thought that you are different from many other “educated” Americans and Europeans of this community who are gullible and who fall for any news without verification especially when it is against Islam and Iran, who frequent the sites that you did, which are established as propaganda sites. DID YOU, Sir, do any fact checking and updates before launching this ‘free naznin’ movement? Did you, by any chance, cared enough to AT LEAST check the case and what is the OUTCOME of this alleged case??? Certainly you didn’t!
The case you are talking about is 2 years old and the said girl was already FREED by COURT several months ago, absolving her. I hoped you had shown a little responsibility. I hoped you had investigated the matter before spreading the word and before asking members to try to free an ALREADY FREE girl. My sympathies were with the girl and Iranian Jury did what it should have done, free the girl!
I am not even going to talk about the other stupid propaganda and lies of the site you referred. There are a lot of injustices in America and Europe. Unless you go to Iran to see for yourself or at least unless you listen to both sides or yet, unless at least you do some investigation, you, like many ‘educated’ and ‘intelligent’ others will remain, unknowingly, a part of a circle that helps propagate lies and do propaganda and that horrifies the future of the world that we live in.
Don't take it as offence. My words aren’t against you, in person. I am addressing to a class of mylot users, who claim to be truth lovers and who claim to be researchers and who claim to expose lies, yet, they are the same people who fell to lies quite often and knowingly so. Who repeat the lies, even when it is clear that it’s wrong. You are quite innocent compared to them.

No, I did not fact check this report. It was presented as "news". As "news" it is supposed to already be fact checked, I did not do so, any more than you fact check all "news" stories you read. It is impossible to do so.
Fortunately, on the internet today, it is impossible to get away with blatent, obvioius lies.
There are too many people with knowledge of actual events and intelligence, like yourself, who will read the lie and expose it.
Thank you again for exposing that this story was false.
On the plus side, this false story has done more to bolster your case that someone is making an effort to defame Iran and Islam more than anything you have ever or could ever say. We have just seen the "proof" this is true.

Yes, I took one hook line and sinker. The lesson to be learned here is that when people put lies on the internet there is someone right along shortly to expose them. The site I linked to concerning this topic has already taken down the story.

Evidently that story has been removed... I got a document not found error just now.
Well, he can't very well say they don't have rape victims... so it would be difficult to claim there are no rapists in Iran.
I still can't figure out how they justify hanging the victims instead of the criminals.
Maybe someone with intimate knowledge of the customs and laws of Iran will enlighten us...

Apparently someone was pulling a hoax and I fell for it. It probably won't be the last time.
However, Kamran is totally correct that if stuff like this is going on the perpetrators need to be exposed.
