Saturday at a Halloween family festival they had a DJ. Now my youngest grandson (6) loves to dance. he is so cute to watch. believe this or not he absolutely loved High School Musical and his favorite Tv show was/is Dancing with the stars. he tries his best to copy moves he has seen. Here he was dancing with my daughter, his mom, to I believe an MC Hammer tune. We had a blast watching all the kids dancing. yes, they did the Hokie Pokie of course for all the kids. And yes Grandpa Bob even did the Hokie Pokie. No pics of that though. Not that I know of anyhow. HAHAHA!! Do you have little kids or grandkids that love to dance? Do they try and copy moves they've seen on TV or in movies? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Last year the third grade class I worked with had some older siblings that were "prom" age. They taught the third graders the "Cha Cha Slide". For the last nine weeks of school, at the end of the day, those kids who had all their work done could get up and do the Cha Cha Slide. In our school the third grade is the last year, and we "clap them out" and have a recognition the last day. They did a turn about though, and got up on the stage, performed the Cha Cha Slide, and then taught it to us all. Dancing kids are so much fun.

How sweet. What a cute little guy. I don't blame him for Hish School Musical. We rented that not too long ago, and even DH and I fell in love with it. It's a typical Disney, but really great music and dancing. On Sunday afternoons my kids have the living room picked up enough. They turn on the CD player have have dance contests. I don't think they have a clue to what they are doing, but it's fun watching them bounce around like they know do. LOL! I wish I have some pics of that. I suppose next time I'll have to get the camera ready. Can you chicken dance? That's my favorite!

I don't have grandkids & I hope thats a long time coming. My daughter went through a phase of loving to dance. Then she went through a phase when she was embarrassed & thought she couldn't dance. This year, she chose to do dance as a subject, & it turns out she is one of the best in the class. I hope this gives her confidence. My 9 year old step0 daughter is an outstanding, natural dander & has never had a lesson. The Australian Ballet Company (one of the Worlds best) were asking for kids tom audition for special training. I would dearly loved to have taken my step daughter to these auditions, but it was on a day when we don't have access, & there is no way her mother would bother with this sort of thing. I wrote a comment on your photo.

they are so darn cute when they dance!! my niece got that Dancing Elmo doll when she was 4. she had always been super super shy and didnt like talking to anybody. as soon as she unwrapped that thing she started jumping up and down and squealing to get it out of the box! she completly forgot about the other presents and spent at least an hour dancing along and showing everybody that she could do it! for months afterwards anybody who came over to visit would be shown dancing elmo and then she would show how she could do it too!! it was the most adorable thing to watch! and it really helped her to come out of her shell a bit too!

Dancin' away - My daughter and youngest grandson
I HATE ELMO!!!! Hahahaha! No, really, I do. I was enthralled watching all the little ones dance. Some were good but most were either just plain cute or plain funny. I had a blast just watching them all. Here's another shot of the kids dancing to the DJ. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Who was the person who wore that black suits in that photo, Grandpa Bob?. Yes your grandson really enjoyed with his dancing there with tune-in as Mc Hammer. And it happened to my kids as well. Just like when we were child, always like to imitate celebrity's styles and try doing copy cat. As far as they enjoy doing good things, I am happy with it. Thanks Grandpa Bob.

I''m 20 now i don't have any kids, but when i was little my mom said I was in love with Michael jackson and she entered me into some Michael Jackson dancing contest and I got second place aginst a few hundred kids. She said i was all dissappointed and hurt. Wish i could remember it though. Maybe he was born to be a dancer.
