Is button fly is still common nowadays? I know zip on will stay for lifetime. But what is your choice? I want zip on. Easy to wear and remove. Pants is my common attire.

Back then I'm all for fly's, but like you've said it is not that 'in' anymore. So I guess whatever is available for me would do, as long as it looks and feels good for me!;) Pants that are soft and comfortable to wear are the one's I look at, that's the important thing.

I would choose zip on because it is definitely easier to undress than a button fly.

I don't like buttons they are hard to get off. I love zip on pants much easier and I'm comportable with it. All my pants are zip type.

I definitely prefer a zipper too. It is a lot more convenient when you're trying to use the bathroom than having to unbutton all the way down, lol. Also, it's much quicker to put them back on then too. If I have buttons instead, then I feel like it takes me forever to stand there and button all the way up again, lol.

Button fly is really time consuming.

I like pants with an elastic waistband & no zipper, button, snap, etc. I gain & lose weight like there's no tomorrow & I don't want to buy several different sizes of pants just so I can find a pair that fits!

Button fly is out of fashion. It has been a long time for people of both genders to use zip on. Just like what you say in the discussion, it is much more convenient to use zip as it is easy to wear and remove.

If it's Levi's brand pair of jeans, I'd love the button fly because it's very easy to button up and even more so to undo. It's very comfortable to wear as well but when in a hurry to use the bathroom, button fly is the way to go. Now a coat, I'd rather have a zipper for it's much warmer because nothing can get through a zipper.

So it depends on the brand.

Do folk use buttons on pants nowadays? I have to ask for I dont really see those. I recalled if a someone's zipper was down, you would say to them your "fly is open" and they would quickly get the gesture and close it.

I prefer zip on. There's no danger of having left a button unfastened. Zip is secure and worry free.
