my 2 1/2 yr old is finally potty trained well for the most part she can go all day with big girl undies on and not have an accident even while were out an about and what not but when it comes to nap or bedtime she usually wakes up wet. i put a pull up on her at those times but she throws a fit because she insists shes a big girl and i try telling her she is but still needs some work when sleep is concerend. ive limit drinks an hour before bed, taking away the sippy full of water at night ( she use to sleep with one) any other ideas. my oldest didnt have this problem the moment he potty trained he slept dry from the beginnning. is this a phase she will outgrow?? do you have any ideas so that she can sleep in underwear which she perfers??? any ideas would be helpful thanks in advance

I want to add this piece of words. my son is going thru potty training also but he never says but I am a big boy. Problem is when little ones say that it means the parents kept saying "your such a big boy/girl you can do this" and that gets in printed on the brain at a earlier age. I nor anyone else that is family to my son ever say that an I am glad, because he never complains or says those words back to me. All us parents have to be careful what we teach or say to our children at a early age. They always take our words to heart and mind.
now on the potter training at bed time. My son don't wet the bed because he don't drink anything after 7pm. he hasn't learned how to get out of bed yet to go to the bathroom, so he still wets his diapers. but their not soaking the bed. I am still doing diapers cause he still goes during the day when we're not home. I am still trying to figure out how to teach him theres a bathroom lets use it. He always tells me when we're not at home, no I don't have to go.

She can wear Pampers at night, but the ones that are for toddlers so she can get up and slip them off. That way she will have protection and still feel like a big girl. It will take her time. She will soon notice when she is beginning to get wet. Does she sleep in a cot or a bed? If she were in a bed, and the night light was on, it would be easier for her to wake you up and to take her to the bathroom.

My second son is the same way. Most nights hes dry but then theres that one or two times a week he wakes up wet. They will eventually out grow it. They havent figured out the feeling at night that tells them to go. I would keep doing what your doing and eventually she will stay dry! Good Luck!
