Ever since I found out that our washing machine was not broken, I have been doing several loads all afternoon and guess what I found at the bottom of one load? A $10 note :) Finders losers, weepers keepers (or whatever the saying goes).
Have you ever found more than just coins after washing a load? I remember years ago I found a $20 and didn't tell anyone. I'm not sure what I spent it on but it sure came in handy.

The most I have found is a $5 bill PLUS some change. I have always maintained that whatever money I find in the laundry becomes mine. It goes into my "found money" piggy bank. That includes any pennies or other coins I find on the sidewalk or where ever.
Lucky you, 20 bucks! I'd love to find $20.

I do the same too, everything I find either lying around in the car (mostly coins) my husbands pant pockets, the coins he leaves on the bench, becomes all mine :)

I love laundry money! My husband is awful at remembering to empty his pockets and I have found hundre dollar bills in the laundry before. Of course, I use those towards household bills but anything $20 or less is mine to do with as I choose.

Hooray for husbands who don't remember to clean their pants pockets out. The haul for this week's laundry money is a total of $55.00 I am so excited!! I think that I may go shopping for myself this weekend.

Hi maddysmommy,
Congrats on your find! I love laundry money too! Once in a while my hubby or I forget to empty our pockets, but when it's laundry day I find it :) It always seems to come at just the right time! Either it comes in handy for something we need, or if it's just before a pay day and we're just about broke.

Your lucky. All I found was ten cents in the washing machine. I guess you had a lucky day.

My husband does that regularly. In our 12 years together I have found a couple of $20s. Also, several ones. Currently he is filling our daughters piggy bank with change found at the bottom of the washer. Guess I should have been keeping track of the amount. Would be something huh? Lol

haha yup. Thats great that he is putting it in his daughters piggy bank - I save all the quarters for my son - he likes those tattoos you get from safeway and using them in the bubble gum machines and or saving them to play games after a movie.

Finders keepers, losers weepers. It is cool that you found the money and with a few more dollars added to that, you'll have just enough to buy me a lovely Christmas gift, LOL.
I just love finding unexpected money. It is really nice. The most that I ever found in a washing machine was a dollar. One time though, I put on one of my coats and found a twenty in the pocket. Boy, was I a happy camper.

Hello!
I used to find a lot of coins in my father's pockets..*hehehe* not after washing tough but before washing. Before putting their dirty clothes into the basket I would offer to check the pockets! LOL!! I was like a one day millionaire during those years! LOL!! Like you I didn't tell anybody about it, especially my brother although I know my father knew, *wehehe*
ciao! c",)
