So I get these text messages from sports news every time there's an update on the Indians, Cavaliers, and Browns. Today I got two text messages on Indians news and they said that Mark Shapiro isn't going to try to resign CC next year because he is considering him a lost cause. How do you feel about that?

I will wait it out and see what happens. For all we know, anything can happen. If he doesn't stay in Cleveland, the question will be who is going to step up to the plate to take over that #1 spot. If they get to the post-season and he actually puts up a better effort than he did this year, maybe they could consider resigning him.
I do think it's too early to really say though. Since I don't have a cell phone or text messages, that's probably why I don't think much about it. I think I'll just wait and see before I pass judgment. I'd like to think he could do better the next year. I just hope this won't be the beginning of tearing apart the team and rebuilding to have a few bad seasons. I really don't want to see that.

I wouldn't say that stuff until you actually let him go you know? Because now how is CC supposed to feel.

Probably upset about it and maybe some anger thrown in there. That's what I'm thinking on that. I wouldn't say that stuff either. Personally, I wouldn't go announcing anything at all and just concentrate on trying to get better the next season.

I wouldn't have said anything either, he should have just kept his mouth shut for now.

Why did he call him a lost cause exactly?

I'm thinking it has something to do with the fact that in the post-season, he really let the team down big time. That would be my guess but I'm not 100% sure. I think it's just speculation right now at this time.

Because he wasn't good in high pressure games, like the two against Boston, but people like Westbrook and Byrd did their job in their first games against them.
