I woke up this morning with a killer sinus headache. This always gets me thinking of the surgery that I decided to forgo years ago although my insurance covers it. I went through all the hoops - saw an ear nose and throat doctor, got a pretty xray of my skull and got approved for the surgery. Its amazing when I mentioned it how many people had had it or knew someone who had. All bout one reported that the surgery works well - and they even sculpt the nose a bit too - free. One person reported a horrible infection after surgery and - well a botched surgery and having to do it over and over. And that was enough for me to chicken out. My mom had had it but that was so long ago they used a mallet to crack the nose and she said she had to stay awake to swallow the blood. Ewww. Nowadays they put you out - and you're recovered within days. And you have it and go home the same day. What would you do? Or have you already had this surgery?
