Do you use gourmet spices?

Ordinarily, I use regular store bought spices. Nothing fancy, just store bought stuff. It tastes alright, but I know it could taste better. So, I was wondering if gourmet spices would taste better.
I know that gourmet spices would be much more expensive. But, maybe if I used just a little bit, I could afford to do so. What do you think? Are gourmet spices any better than store bought spices? Do you think they make foods taste better? What are your favorite brands?

We use a LOT of spices. I don't know if any of them are what you would call "gourmet" spices. We have a lot of spices which aren't that common, so perhaps they would qualify. We order some of them online because we can't find them at our local grocery store. We buy them in bulk, so they really aren't all that expensive, IMO.
