My daughter & I are very excited about this, even if my husband isn't.
Hubby is a Police Officer & works for the State Missing Persons unit. One of Australia's major TV stations, Channel 9, started a one hour program some time ago last year. In this, they report on various missing people all around Australia. The program has a hugh profile. Every now & then they come to Adelaide & choose one of the three officers to "star" in a series. Twice my husband was chosen, but he got out of it for one reason or anothert.
This time he is definitely it. The filming is occurring this week. He will reporting & following up a cold case, ie. a person who has been missing for a long time.
He is very nervous about this filming. Ican't wait to see it on TV. My daughter has even told her maths teacher about it.

I think once your husband starts talking about the case he will forget about the cameras.
He must have the expertise in the case to be chosen to do this so he has to be good. I can see where you would be proud of him.
Don't harass him, just help him through it just smile and be proud..he is probably in for bigger things.

He might construe even being reminded of it as harassment. Let him give the cues to even talk about it.

That is really cool! It sounds like your hubby doesn't want to be on tv though, if he's already gotten out of it twice! But three times a charm I guess! lol.
So this show is only in Australia, I won't be able to see it here in Arizona?
Conratulations to you husband! It might end up being a little fun, and he might grow used to being a star ;P hehe.

I can understand your husband's concern about being on television. I'm hoping the person will be found quickly. This is the type of show I would watch, as you never know when you might be able to help somebody else.

It is sad about the cold case. It always is. I think it is funny that this makes hubby nervous, but it probably would make me nervous as well. I know you and your daughter will both have a lot of fun with it, and at his expense. I wish I could see Australian TV.

There are a lot of cold cases. Hubby gets nervous because he thinks he will look silly & he's worried about his bald hair.

Oh that'll be great to record to have on hand for later in life to be able to review it over and over again. Not only that but your future generations too will get to see how he was in his time. Tell him to be cool, calm and collected and he'll do just fine. Good luck!

Congrats from me to your hubby, you and your kids. I am feeling proud now for two things; your husband's duty in helping people and your moral support to him.
But you miss one thing, don't let us know the air time of that good TV program. For me, that kind of program consider a high profile slot in TV Channel. Care to share the time schedule?

It could be about 2 1/2 months before it is shown, but this is not definite. There will be advance notice, so I will let people know.
