Water borne diseases have always been an issue, far more in some countries than others. When I was a young child living up north, we had this water borne disease called Ameobic Menangitis. It was carried in the main pipeline that came to our town from the Murray River. Apparently the water reached a certain temperature when it got near our town, causing the ameoba to multiply. People would get in it in their bodies, mainly through their nose. It was fatal. Eventually scientists identified the organism, & put chlorine in our wate supply which killed it.

Jen, there is more likelihood that the water borne disease you mentioned above will happen again. There are so many cases that is happening but they give different names . The truth is, it is really happening right now globally and it really scares everyone and we must be aware.

Oh my, poor kids. I thank God that the place I live is full of streams, waterfalls, natural water sources that I cannot remember. We sometimes go there and play with the water without any fear, but now I have started to fear of the said water borne diseases. We need to do something as precaution. The world is changing from better to worse. Can't science and technology do anything? Where are our good old professors and inventors? Oh God help us.
