Do you light candles in memory of your loved ones who died? I know we usually do...as Catholics, but I can't remember which day. Is is for "All Saints" or for "All Souls" day? I can never remember for sure, but I am leaning towards thinking it is for All Souls, i.e. November 2nd. Today my cousin called to ask me and I couldn't tell him for sure. I promised to look it up...but of course I did a search here first to see if there had been any discussions on the topic. Found none, so I had to ask!

Candles are used for many purposes with me. I light a candle when in prayer for someone that is very ill..someone that has just made the transition across..on each aniversary of someones passing and during my meditations I do I light a candle too. A candle lit bathroom is a perfect way to relax and unwind while soaking in a bath too. I use tea candles for most of these times as they are relatively safe too in the sense that they cannot topple over. I have never heard of 'all souls' day to be honest, and I am a spiritualist..mmm see we hear or learn new things everyday!
