Are you one of those people that acts like there are little laws and then there are big laws or like "Oh the posted speed limit is for everyone else not for me!" There are so many little things that people do everyday, like they are the thing to do, and they know somewhere in their mind that what they are doing is illegal and they just don't care. I will be the first to admit, I speed when I am driving sometimes, especially if I am late. But at the same time the speed limit is not posted just so that the highway patrol can sto you and give you a ticket. It is posted because it is the maximum speed at which if you collide with something or someone or there is an accident that occurs just ahead of you, that on that particular road you would have time to see it or stop. And in the case of a collission doing 70 miles per hour on the freeway, it is very unlikely that you are going to walk away unscathed. At 75-80 mph however it is very unlikely that you will walk away at all unless of course you drive a Lexus, a Volvo, or a BMW which have safety features in place that reduce your risk of an accident being fatal at up to something like 90 or something similar. Or talking on your cell when you are driving. We all know that this is foolish but you see people doing it all the time nowadays. However foolhardy it may be, in most places it is also against the law. People still do it though!
