do you like the distorted trees like this???

the first time i found this tree on my campus is in the evening. the distorted branches really frightened me. in the darkness, it's just like ghosts waving their arms.in the day,it didn't look so bad, instesd, i felt misery towards this tree, for it is so skinny, so distorted.i really want to know is this kind of tree distorted by human or does it grow naturally like this? anyhow, i don't like its appearence.
