about movies today online and she asked if I remembered The Never Ending Story. I told her I had seen it but I had always like Peter Falk since I remembered him back from Trials of O’Brien.
Mind you this was back in 1965-66 and I was pretty young myself, but I remember liking it (she was born in the 1990's and had never heard of it.
So, I went looking for the show to see what they had on line and found this: http://aa.1asphost.com/CTVA/US/Legal/TrialsOfOBrien.htm . There were some pretty impressive guest stars in the show. Robert Blake (yes, that one), Cloris Leachman, Roger Moore, Aice Ghostley, Tammy Grimes, Buddy Hackett, Frank Langella, Martin Sheen, Alan Alda, Milton Berle, Burgess Meredith, Angela Lansbury, Faye Dunaway, Will Geer, Gene Hackman, and David Carradine.

My dear, I'm still not able to recall it! lol. But, I was born in 1980 and have kept my head in the clouds for much of my life! lol

I don't think its been often rerun, in part because it was filmed in black and white, and there were only 22 episodes.
I doubt some would show it because O'Brien had a "turf accountant" (he gambled on the ponies) and had some other less than redeaming behavoirs. But, then again, you had to wonder about Columbo's personal hygiene....

yeah, could be the reason. We are starting to get a lot of old shows coming back here though. The other night, it was The Avengers! lol. Saw the modern movie of it a few years back and it was pretty quirky!

Hmmm I do not remember ever seeing that movie either,either one of them really...I do remember all the stars that you meationed though..That is an old group of stars but i remember them quite well..Robert Blake use to be beretta with his big white cocatoo,I use to watch that show.Cloris Leachman use to be the nosy neighber of a sitcom,the Mary Tylor Moore show i think i use to watch that show all the time.Alan Alda was in Mash,Buddy hackett use to be in Mary Tylor Moore too i think.Roger Moore was famous as a spy,Angela Landsbury, Murder she wrote,Faye Dunaway was famous for Bonnie & Clyde.Wasn't David Carradine some Gung foo guy? and of course who could ever forget Uncle Milty? Wow thats a lot of great stars,brings back lots of memories...

I remember that movie and loved it. I rented it last year for our weekly mother/daughter movie nite and she loved it as well. We cried together in a few scenes but loved it.
