You are so totally predictable!

Are you predictable? Do you know anyone predictable? I do. My ex boyfriend with whom I unfortunately still work with. He's one of those guys that, on the one hand, annoy the heck out of you and yet...for some reason you just really like him! I mean, I should hate him for what he did to me and somehow, I don't. Really he just annoys me because he's so stupid and predictable. For instance, he walks to his desk and upon seeing the messages button on his phone blinking he says "how did I get messages?" Every single time. or... he coughs or sneezes which is followed by "I'm dying!" He has a tennis ball in which he likes to bounce around the office which I'd really like to steal because I can't stand it. He'll go walk around the building and disappear for about 15 minutes. Come back then pretend to yell at everyone in his department for not working. then he walks to his desk and says "how did I get messages!" It's partially because I've worked with him for so long and dated him... but also partially because he's such a victim of habit and predictable! I'm partially predictable. I have my obsessive compulsive things that keep me predictable, but for the most part I don't think I am. What about you? Are you predictable or do you know anyone who you can say what their every move will be before they do it?

Your ex sounds like he has a dry sense of humor. Though in the circumstance that you're in, I can understand how it might be aggravating. As they say, 'familiarity breeds contempt'. I imagine nobody wants to believe they are totally predictable, but it must occasionally seem that way to the people who know us best.

Oh well my ex was only an example. I know quite a few people who are predictable. My brother and his idiotic wife for example. I wouldn't really think a stranger could be predictable, as they are a stranger. And I did ask if others know people who were predictable, not just if they were one themselves.

I don't see my parents very often, but we speak on the phone regularly. But the conversations are so predictable. There'll cursory exchange to check that our state of health is much the same as before, there'll be some minor scandal to discuss about my siblings, always ending with, "well, as long as he/she is happy", or "it takes all sorts", or some such cliche, and we'll talk about what we plan to do the rest of the day. I can definitely multi-task while I'm talking with them, as there are so few topics we feel comfortable talking to each other about, and we have predetermined responses to every subject. Predictable can be reassuring, but it would be nice once in a while to be surprised.

You've got that right! My mom calls me all the time (my dad is like me, not a phone person) and her conversations inevitably go to my brother and his family or about my nephews. Blah. Sometimes I'd like to not talk or hear about them you know? It's true though. Predictable is nice but so is difference~

Okay! i am predictable as you know i will write nonsence! so yes, i am predictable. but you know what? i think i like being predictable. My friends like going to partys with me cos i have a laugh. i just need to morph into Bradd Pitt and i,ve got it made!

Laughing and looking like Brad Pitt would get you a lot of ladies. That's for sure. However, the mushrooms you take might not get you those girls...or rather keep the girls. Being predictable is certainly not always a bad thing. But sometimes it can be like in the case of my ex. But basically I think it can be good and I'm glad you embrace your predictability.

The only thing good about my ex was that they were predictable, so I always knew what was coming and would have plenty of time to prepare and to conjure up a lie or a story to get out of it, usually it was some far fetched idea or job they wanted doing! I could sidestep it and get out of it because I would be armed and ready, forewarned is forearmed as they say. I used their predictability as a weakness, because they used too many of my weaknesses against me!

Oh I definitely know my ex's weakness' but unfortunately his predictablility isn't one. I most often use his Guilt weakness! That's a lot of fun for me. That's funny though. predictability really can be a weakness for sure.

I don't think I'm too predictable. I've worked with some really predictable people in the past. Like one dude at Walmart any time anyone was on a ladder he'd ask or say "You got a raise?!". That got to be so freaking annoying. He had other things he said too but luckily as I haven't worked there in months I'm starting to forget them - or blocked them LOL. But like you I do have certain things or ways I am predictable about but overall I think I'm not so much.

Ha ha. yeah, being predictable has both perks and faults. Sometimes it can be a huge fault because people can use it as your weakness.

some girls love surprises. especially those that really take them off their feet. and i know also some girls who love predictability, who hate surprises. these girls love to be in control of things. they want things planned up to the last details. i would like to believe that i walk on the two roads. i enjoy surprising my girl and she loves it everytime i do it. also, there are instances that i like things to be settled and predictable. but i am more of the unpredictable type of guy.

well it wasn't supposed to be in terms of guys and girls, but that's an interesting way to put it. Never thought of it that way. However, I would say that I don't think I thought of it that way before.

Ha ha. Not predictable at all! I'm very bad at making up my mind about things too. It's kinda crazy. Then I just get annoyed and I just pick something. Usually my first instinct.
