Life is a song! Listen to the birds singing, hear the hum of the bees, and explain how its possible to feel Happy and Uplifted from a song with profanity, racism, or murder in the lyrics. This type of music, cuts to the core, diminishes faith in the human psyche, and dehumanizes. I cannot listen to this type of (so called) music, and its my opinion that its unhealthy to the Body, and theres no doubt that its detrimental to the soul. To say that I was "offended" by this type of music would be a Graphic understatement!

I think that everyone has their own preferences; I personally am not offended by them, it's the way some people express themselves. While I don't personally do not always talk like that, I know that sometimes there has been a point when I've used a profanity or two in discussion or to talk about something. In songs, I guess it's a matter of artistic expression to me. I know that some people don't like it, and I think that's fine, because there is plenty of music that people can find that do not use those lyrics. For me, it's just a part of the song and a part of someone's message.

No I'm not offended. I've grown up with it so I'm sure I've become desensitized to it. I certainly wouldn't want my kids listening to it (if I had kids). I don't think it's necessary but I don't have to listen to it if I don't want to. There's plenty of music out there without profanity if I want to listen to that instead.

It depends on the profanity, I do not like songs with the "N" Word in them.

Most of the time I will avoid songs that have swearing in them or I look for the clean version where the swear words are bleeped out. I use to like them but I've gotten away from them now.

I'm not neccessarily offended by all songs with profanity in them. I don't like it when I'm listening to the radio with my kids and not expecting it, though. There is some music I listen to that has profanity in it, and it is just part of the story. Those I don't listen to with my kids around. Some music has that type of language in it just for shock value, and that does bother me.
