You guys were right there was more then one. So now tonight Im setting the traps again. Do you think theres more?

YEAH!!! Its always nice to see you have caught the mouse! I had one in my old house. I would find poop everywhere! So I got a trap, not one that kills them, one that I can catch them and let them go outside. I also used Panut butter. I tried for three days to catch him to no avail. Then when I was about to give up on him he found his way to the trap. I showed the kids and we talked about mice. Then we took him in the woods and let him go. I never saw him again. You never know how many there are. If you have two you probably have more. I would set the traps again and see what happens.

I got it at walmart for like 2$ or so. It worked very well. The door only goes one way so once there in there in. You have to open the door to let them out. I have attatched a pic for you. I liked it because then I dont have mice guts all over the house. LOL. You just catch him and let him go.

Peanut butter?
I thouht it was suppose to be cheese.LOL
When we had that problem, we got a cat.
I cannot stand seeing these little animals dieing.
And I am to shy to kill them myself.
So I left it up to my cat. There all gone.
Except the cat of course. She can stay.
Have a nice day, good luck on getting rid of the mouse.

Wow thats great my firned.I really can relate to this victory over catching this cute rats.I caught two also but using only the fly paper which more affordable than the traps. I felt really happy seeing them struglle for their freedom but I am just doing my part of ctaching them coz they have become annoying and have abused their freedom.
I guess there will be more rats to cathc soall i can say is happy catching.

oh yes there can be. I made the mistake of not letting my aunt kill the babies we found. I had a mom and her 5 babies runnin around my house and the traps didn't work for me. They got the cheese off and they got the peanut butter off without setting the trap off. It was awful.

LOL yea I would keep the traps out just in case they decide to come back again. My cats get them so I don't have to worry LOL

Yes, I'm afraid that there are probably more. It seems that when one finds its way in, several more follow. I found a dismembered one a couple weeks ago that Lulu had murdered, so I figure we have several too. She likes to sit and watch around the stove, so they must be hanging out there. I bought some traps, but haven't set any yet. I'm sure I will, once I see one. lol Even though tye're cute and years ago, we had pet mice. I saw how fast they multiplied, 2( that were supposed to be 2 males), by the way. Ended up multiplying to 3 cages worth. lol The one cage had holes, big enough for the babies to escape, and I'm sure to to this day, Waverly has some lovely colorful mice wreaking havoc on the town. lol

Usually at this time of year, a pregnant female mouse will look for warmth and food from the outside elements. They have their young in this new location, often your home. They have several to a litter. Good luck catching them all.

We used to live in a farmhouse that had mice in it and we did the whole trap thing...although I hated to do it. We found that if we put a little peanut butter and a dog food nugget in the trap it would work everytime.

We had mice last year when it got really cold. We used peanut buitter on the traps after we realized the cheese wasn't working (The mice would get the cheese off without triggering the trap) We caught a few but after a while the mice got wise to the trap and wouldn't mess with it. So we got the poison in a box to put down. This worked for a little while too. One mouse ate the poison, and then, while me and my grandmother were downstairs in the basement, it crawled out in front of the TV real sick like. It looked like it was saying "I don't feel good" lol. Anyway, instead of waiting for the poison to finish the job, and since he was sitting so still, I got the broom and whacked it a couple of times before throwing it outside, with gloves of course. Eventually the mice got wise to the poison too and left it alone, but soon after that we didn't see any in the house.
Usually when you do see a couple of mice there are more either there or on the way. The best thing to do is find out how they are getting in the house and plug it up. That way when you kill the ones in the house, no more can arise.

Yup, to be on the safe side, I'd keep setting the traps for awhile, just in case. Glad you got two already though. Have you noticed any strong smell in the kitchen? Mice poope doesn't smell but their urine sure does. So if you have a smell around probably means you still have a bunch. :(
And fire those cats, they aren't doing their job!

i feel your pain lol!
well it depends on where they are coming into your house, have you been able to find that out yet?
mice give birth every 6 weeks, so you will want to make sure they are out soon!
we live in a town house and when its cold, mice live between the walls (units) of town houses...the key is poison, thats the only way to get rid of em! we also have a cat and she is a great mouser...

I'm also a mouse hunter here in our house. My favorite bait is pork fat. It has been scientifically found that mice find it irresistible. And it's quite effective indeed. Right now I don't see any mice running around our house.

Hello terryz. I am glad that you have got those annoying mice that make trouble and damage the stuff with your traps for them, which deserve it. I think that you still need to use it for one or two more nights to see if they are all trapped so that they won't come and bite things with their sharp teeth to get them damaged. Good luck to my friend and good night.

Speaking of mice..I found two little baby ones the other day...Didn't have the heart to kill them so we set them free outside of course...They were just teeny tiny...I am glad you got yours and since I had found two there may be more in your house too...I am assuming there are more around here...I think they set up shop in the basement....
