I love being a grandma its alot easier than being the mom, although I love my grandkids coming for the weekend I am usually ready for them to go home, they wear me out. they all have me wrapped around their fingers and they know how to play that, I know I should'nt let them have their way but I don't know how to stop that's all they have to do is say please grandma and I give in. so any ideal's?

Hi bfarrier1, I am a grandma of 2 boys, (3 and 5 years). They have me wrapped around there fingers too! I do have tons of fun with them and I do give in alot...LOL...There are times that I must say enough is enough...I see them everyday so they are used to what has to be and such...I love being a grandma and can be as goofy as the kids...

Feona1962, thanks for the comment,I have a ton of fun with mine too, I don't see them everyday but at least once a month except for the 11month old she lives real close so I see her more often, maybe if I seen them everyday we would get into that enough is enough and whatever grandma says go. my girls say I am a pushover when it comes to those kids. take care have a greatday

I can't help you with saying no to the grandchildren. because I have that problem too! I have a 2 year old grandson and a 3 year old granddaughter. I am so proud of them both and love them with all my heart. But when they look at me and say please or pout, how can I say no?

isaiah12 I AM SO GLAD I AM NOT THE ONLY GRANDPARENT OUT THERE THAT HAS THIS PROBLEM I AM SURE WERE NOT THE ONLY TWO. I HAVE A 9YR.OLD GRANDSON, 7,6 & 11 MONTH OLD GIRLS.THE GRANDSON ALWAYS USES THAT BUT I AM THE ONLY BOY.THEIR ALL GREAT KIDS BUT THEIR MOMS ARE ALWAYS TELLING ME I LET THEM GET BY WITH WAY TO MUCH. THANKS FOR THE COMMENT.

I have 2 grandsons and they are a load of fun but they sure can tire an adult out quickly and easily. But it is always nice to send them home. I had them overnight and we went to the car races this evening and by the time we got home they fell asleep instantly. I am wore out but decided to come here for some fun and writing. I say just keep doing what you ARE. i ALWAYS FELT THAT IS A GRANDPARENTS CHORE, spoil them and send them home.

I know what you mean about being wore out,just wish I had the energy they have,I use to but most of it is gone these days.Thanks for the response and have fun being a grandpa.
