Im making a Pecan Pie this year. First time ever making one too. Seems easy enough! lol I sure hope so. Its cost a bit of money to buy the pecans, so if I mess up theres just going to be no pie. lol Pumpkin or Pecan would be my fave pie this time of year. It just sort of fits. If its not pumpkin I like a sweet potato pie too. Im not much of a baker! Wish me luck!

Well my sis gave me one, but then I lost it, and instead of calling her waiting for a call back cos she was working and I wanted to get to the store and get the stuff bought, I did an online search. Just put in Peacn Pie Recipe. Or if you want a pumpkin pie, the recipe is on the can of pumpkin. Thats the way my mom used to make them, and they were always good.

Lol i cant decide what i want.. i love pecan pie but i always end up eating all the pecan off of it and then not wanting the rest.lol i dont wanna waste it.. I accidently posted 2 of these discussions. oopse:) musta hit the button to many times. but anyways the lady said somthing about her husband liking egg nog pie.. thats diffrent i might see if i could find a recipe. but if not i think ill probally just stick with buying a assortment of cheese cake. but like i said still cant decide.. and i dont have much time wither.lol

My favorite holiday pie is pumpkin pie. I don't like all pumpkin pies though, I have had some before that were kind of, I don't know, gritty might be the right word.....anyway I didn't like the texture. My favorite Pumpkin Pie recipe is the one that comes on the E.D. Smith Pure Pumpkin Puree can. It is really nice and smooth and has just the right amout of spices.

For Thanksgiving, as far back as I remember, my family would always have ambrosia salad. Mixture of sour cream, mandarin oranges, maraschino cherries, coconut flakes, and baby marshmellows. Sounds crazy i know but you rinse and drain the cherries and oranges to lessen the juice and when there is almost no juice at all, you mix everything together and let it sit and chill in the fridge, and it is deeeeeeelicious.
