Me again mylotter friends and fans. This time reporting to you from my technology hub, or well that's what I call it. Anyways, I was looking for mini mouse so I could do this a couple of games on my laptop instead of using the touchpad. Well thanks to my blundering I've once again misplaced the thing, even though I always put it away around here! Maybe its me going senile again. Most other things I never have trouble losing; keys, socks, silverware. But my mouse (and on rare occasions my cellphone) seem to get lost all the time. Both are rather small, but still...you'd think I'd actually put it away right and remember it. Enough ranting on my end. What is the most frequent thing around the house you keep losing (keys, laundry socks, remote controls, your mind?) Thanks again, everyone!

I believe I have proof the dryer eats socks, and I am always looking for my keys, but what is most troubling is when I am, sick, I misplace the tissues and have to run to the bathroom to blow my nose..

Heh! I think I remember a discussion you had on that! As for the keys, it happens. But thankfully I put mine in the same place. Even if it somehow ends up else where there is only 1 other place or the pants pocket. And sure enough, I find them. I like the mention of the tissues. I misplace them half the time during sinuses (which happen way too often -_-)

It will come up soon Gamer, just stop looking for it! hehe Im pretty good about keeping up with things. But just tonight I sat down and started to do my nails and realised I couldnt find my cuticle pusher. I paid a lot of money for it. Its stainless steel specially designed to push and remove cuticles all at once. Luckily I had a wooden cuticle stick I could use, but it just wasnt the same. My manicure doesnt feel totally complete. lol I know, Im picky. It got done and they look nice, but I would really like to know where it went! Oh and I lose my mind on occasion too and somtimes its days before I find it! hehe Bay Lay Gray xx

First sentence was Epic Bay. I did find it but it was someplace I don't remember putting it. Well, don't worry about being too picky. People get gadgets for certain reasons, nothing wrong with that. And I did forget to consider things like that.

I still haven't found mine and I stopped looking! :( Probably see if we cant' hit Sally's after Rural King. LOL Unless hubby comes home and doesn't feel like going, which is very well possible! LoL Glad that you found yours though. It's always in the least obvious place! Bay xx

I only lose the remote control if my husband stays home and watches television. He never puts it back where I put it. I lose my watch, my ID badge for work, my mind, from time to time. Once in awhile, it is my car keys, but not if I do what I am supposed to, which is hang them up as I enter the door. That is the only self defense I have with anything. I have to put it in the same place every time, and I have to do it just as soon as I am through with it.

I like your take on it Gerty. I'm with you on the mind thing, it happens. And yes the only way I'm keeping track of stuff is through habit. If I mess up, I could see myself taking a bit to find the keys or the badge.

What do I loose regularly? My glasses sometimes. There's not much else I loose. My step children loose silly things, like clothes. My husband lost his USB port the other day. I told him I thought I knew where it would be & that I would look for it the next day. He couldn't wait. The next day he bought a new one!!

Indeed. USBs can be tricky. Thankfully I keep better track of them and I know exactly where they are.

The remote controls frequently get lost at my house. My 18 month old daughter loves to carry them around and "talk" on them. The one thing that I misplace on my own is my sunglasses. I always take them off and try and put them up out of her reach, but then I can't remember where in the heck I put them! We had a tiny laser mouse for our laptop as well. It recently started blinking and doesn't work anymore.

Omegacute!! Did you at least get a picture of your 18 month old doing that!? Hopefully you did or can, it'll be great for a scrapbook! And now that I think about it, I've not been that good with sunglasses. But its not that I lose them, its that they eventually break down. Figures -_- Your mouse broke down? Hmm. Even though its not much, I think some replacement mouses are easy to comeby.

I don't usually have much trouble with this as I am pretty well organized. But hubby would lose his head it it wasn't hooked on at the shoulders. He constantly is loosing his keys and glasses. I spend a lot of my time looking for them and they are usually right where he laid them down.

Well, be nice, but I get what you are saying Bluestar. Plus there are times an item or two just slip the mind even when they are in plain sight. It happens.

hmmm... i'm really forgetful so when i use something, i make sure i put it back to is place because if i don't, i won't remember where i put it other than its usual place. ^__^;; i always freak out when i can't find something and i would usually blame my pesky nieces because before they used to use my things without permission and they wouldn't return it on its original place. they have changed though, they got tired of my yelling, and now, if i misplace something, i don't have someone to blame anymore but myself. LOL anyway, to answer the question, the things i usually misplace are undies (no kidding. i would get it from the hanger and then put it on top of something, and then go back to the hangers and check if there are other already dried clothes and then i would forget about the undies! during that short span of time i would forget it. imagine that. ^__^;;), and then, there's my comb, my hair clamp, my super glue LOL, and my nail pusher/cleaner. ^__^;;

Same here Secret. Its habits and repetition that help me out. Along with other little tips I've picked up. If there is a little trouble with laundry, maybe doing it systematic or different could help, but its just a thought I had, please don't read too much into it. The superglue? Well, that reminds me, I do have a bit of trouble with my screwdrivers. And thinking of that also my graphite set pencils can get misplaced too (individually).

Hi gamer, My husband is in charge of the remote for the TV in the living room. My remote for my TV is always where it shouldn't be. And I do honestly believe there is a silverware monster stealing the silverware, there are always more pieces missing. I am sure the washer eats my socks, that is why it works so well, it is well-fed. And as for my mind, I lost that a long, long time ago and have decided not to look for it. Happy posting..

Another instance of Silverware I completely forgot it when posting the discussion. As for the socks it happens too and I've talked about it on other people's threads.
