I for one use it very often. For heating up easy things. I use it for heating water, heating half finished food, warm things up a bit. Exampel, when I have done food where I like to have sauce to it, I warm up the sauce before in my microwave.

Hi anetteh, I alway use microwave in my kitchen for quick reheating of my ready to heat foods. I rarely use it for full cooking. i think it is best for boiling liquids or just reheating soups, tea, milk etc before consuming. It has only one disavantage in cooking that it will not give browing and crsipy effect esle it is a very god partner in kitchen.

It shore is as you say, a partner in your kitchen. It is not useful for finishing the food. And lot of us I think have become lacy using it for more faster food. However it is a great tool at working places, since lunch hour seems to be shorter.

I don't have microwave and yeah ok sometimes I am missing it, but I am still not gonna buy it. Becuase when you heat things in the micriwave it kills all the nutricions in the food. And i think there are so many thing how we harm our health and body, why not to make at least one thing good and really good for us. Maybe it is much more comfortabel to have microwave, but I can be without it.

Well, If we did not have it more of us probably would spend more time to cook the food from the scratch. But I think it is a god tool at workplaces since the break for lunch seems to be shorter.

I don't know about healthy cooking. It depends on how you cook with a microwave. For instance if you put broccoli in water and cook it in the micro it looses 77 to 97 per cent of its nutrients. If you steam it it retains most of it. There are now plastic vegetable steaming bags but I have read that they give off cancer causing chemicals. I use my microwave a lot for re-heating things and cooking some vegetables. For instance green beans and broccoli retain their wonderful colour if cooked that way and stay crispy just as I want them.

Hello dear!!I don't use microwave at all.I prepare fresh meals few times a day!It is not so healthy if you have old or half cooked meals!!Food is the Best when you eat it few minutes after cooking! But I am old fashion grandma but I know that lot of young housewife use to cook one time ,for whole week, than they put meals in freezer!New modern mom don't have whole day for cooking as we use to do!!If you are half of day at job it is normal that you need microwave!See you and Regards Silvana

I think the microwave have reduced the kitchen time for cooking meals. It´s a great tool at work for example and I use it for fast food at home to. Thank´s for responding.
