In N.Y. City's upper East side the Serendipity 3 Restaurant is serving a dessert
that has a price of $25,000. It is made from 28 rare and exotic
cocoas found around the world, black truffle shavings and 23 karat edible gold.
Do you think you would eat this expensive dessert if you had that kind of money to waste? Or would you feel guilty knowing there are people who will not even be able to afford a decent meal?

I saw this on the Food Network!!
I wouldnt want to eat it!! LOL Actually I dont think I would buy it, even if I had the money to purchase it and not miss the $25,000. I think its pretty neat, but nothing I would buy. I could think of many other things to do with that kind of money than to buy a dessert!

It is hard to believe but to some $25,000 is much like pocket change to them.
What a boring life they must live to have nothing to look forward to....
they already have everything a person could wish for money wise. But are they happy?
I don't think so.

Your so right, I never thought about it that way before. That makes really good sense to me!

As much as I love chocolate, I wouldn't waste my money on it even if I did have it.. And like you said, there are many who are struggling to survive, I would much rather my money go to help the less fortunate..

I would like to think that I could come up with a more durable application for that kind of money like, perhaps, a car that I would then drive for ten years or a down-payment on a house. As far as affording it goes, I'm not entirely certain that just because you have the means to acquire something automatically means you should have it. I can't imagine someone who is responsible enough to be able to grow the kind of fortune necessary to afford such a luxury then turning around and spending their money so carelessly. Most people who could afford something like that would see it for what it is: a nonsensical waste of money.

As you know the rich and famous will always try out something like that just so they can talk about it... they couldn't care less about what we think and they never will.
To them it isn't a waste of money just something new to spend their token change on..
