Do you park your car in a garage? We have an attached garage and it is so much easier for parking the cars. It is warmer to go out and start it, with the door open of course, and no scraping of the windows. There is no frost on them. No snow to sweep off. Don't have to let it run for as long to warm up. Don't have to trudge through high snow to bring in the groceries. Life couldn't be better, except maybe living where there is no snow. lol.

We have a separate garage and we have to trudge through the snow to get to the back door. Our house is over twenty-five years old and one of the older houses in our neighborhood. There are quite a number of new houses with the attached garage, but when you remove the garage from the actual living space, the houses are not that large. Our garage holds one car plus a saw, welding equipment, and whatever we can put in it. It is a one and a half car garage.

Unfortunately we do not have a garage, we have ample space in the front for a garage but the extension is costly and we don't have the spare capital for one. We have to park our cars on the slip road which is not ideal and there is a walk from the car to the front door. Maybe if I won the lotto but until then it's the long hard trudge with the shopping from car to door.

Yes recently I had been to my home town and got one garage made to keep my Car ! Till the time I used to keep my Car with my In Law, who is no more and since there is no body to take care of this Car I had to go in for constructing a garage! I am staying more than about 1200 kms from my home town and once in a year I visit my place! I normally avail one months previlege leave and during my stay at my home town I require a Car for commuting ! And to have your own vehicle gives you freedom of movement at any odd hour! I like to visit nearby sites along with my family for which I really need a Car! To keep the car in conditiuon I kept it in Garage and I am sure this will definitely help the Car to stay in proper condition till the time when I pay my next visit! All I do is call my mechanic and ask him to take the car and do the required servicing so that I won't have any troubles with it upon my reaching my home town! Having stuck to single mechanic for so many yuears I have developed a rapport with my mechanic and he readily follow my instructions and keep my vehicle ready for me by the time I reach my home town! Though in my country we4 don 't have any snow, but extreme heat and lot of dust can ruin a car within no time ! So having a garage is always a good preposition if one can afford to do so! Thansk ! It was indeed a good topic of discussion I liked particiupating in it!

We have a small garage that's not attached to the house, so we just like to use it for storage.
