Well this is my collection of dust collectors for the next 3 weeks. I am done with shopping barring any impulse gifts that is. HAHAHA!! There's about 45 gifts here total counting the ones stached in the grandsons stockings. I don't have a tree set up due to dads wobbly walking pattern. Don't need him breaking the gifts and or the tree and it's ornaments. HAHAHA! He can't afford it. So are you done gift buying yet? Do you have a lot left to get? Have you even started shopping? I know theres got to be a few that wait till the week before to shop. I can't do that. I love crowds but not this time of the year. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

This year I a runing behind with the presents but I still have a month to go (as my christmas is on 6th January) I dont mind crowds at all so I can shop even after christmas when the big bargens are. I have only few presents so far and lots more to buy. I used to buy things all year and look for good things at reduced prices that way I could buy good presents but save money in the process.

wow, you seem to have most things sewn up AND kept your sense of humour! Are you really one of Santa's Helpers in disguise? I have done most of mine because we have a new business start up next year and have to watch the pennies. I bought things throughout the year as part of the weekly budget but I shall still go out for one mad "binge" shop nearer the Big Day. I know what you mean about the crowds. I have a habit of fainting in shops at this time of year. I suddenly realise I can't move backwards or forward and whee! I am out of it! Shop assistants do not like me much . . . As to the wobbly tree, why not stand it in something which will stabilise it? We have three large and inquisitive Rosella birds and we always anchor ours very firmly. Having more or less finished now, are you going to brush up on your carol singing?

You are so efficient! Wrapped and everything..I am so jealous. Today I will be doing a lot of cyber-shopping. Now, I am surprised that no one has told you that one of the miracles of Christmas is that Christmas gifts do not collect dust. I thought that this was a commonly known fact. Can you get a small tree with non-breakable ornaments so that you can have one with Dad..or put it in a place where he does not have to go?

I have a small one that I have set up on the coffee table very near the presents. Hee hee. I have a long skinny living room so there's not a lot of room for a tree to begin with actually. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Wow, I can't believe you have all of that shopping done. PLUS you have all the presents wrapped. I only have 2 people yet to buy for, but I haven't even started decorating yet. I was real excited before Thanksgiving and thought I would have my cards sent by now. But now I have become a bit of a slacker.

Hi GRANDPA BOB! Wow, 45 gifts! I sure hope i have one with my name on it! LOL! (dream on faith...) I am not yet done with my shopping and i hope all will be done a week before Christmas. LOL! Can't say i love the crowd, i just don't have the complete wish list of the kids yet! The kids are being so undecisive with what they want. Take care and have a nice day. :) Oh, thanks for accepting my friends' request. really appreciate to be in your friends' list. Thanks! :)

I started christmas shopping last week & am about half way through. I have bought quite a few of my daughters presents, all my hubbies, my neice & nephew, but still have some difficult adults to buy for. My parents & my mother-in-law want money for Christmas, so I guess that makes it easy. They are stored in my wardrobe at the moment. I usually leave wrapping until a few days before Christmas, then put all presents under our tree.

45 gifts for 8 people? so 5 gifts for each or so? how lucky! I never get more than one gift for christmas, maybe birthdays but even those I only get many from friends coming. since we got married we only bought gifts for birthday, for some people only cards. In my case, I only ask for gifts that we can afford. I have my husband all the time, he is my birthday bear :)

Nope I haven't even started on shopping yet. My funds are kind of tight now, so most of the gifts I'll give to people will probably be one of my crafts that I make..Mmmm....are any of those gifts for me? Like the fruitcake? Heheee

Wow, Grandpa Bob you are on a roll!! I am almost finished with mine. I'm going this weekend to buy a few more things for my husband. I ordered most of his online but I need to go to one more store and get him a few more things. And I haven't even started wrapping the gifts yet. Maybe I'll start wrapping this weekend or next week sometime. You need to come to my house and wrap mine for me. LOL That's what friends are for right??? LOL

Hi Grandpa Bob, Congrats on finishing all of this early. I've only purchased three gifts so far, so have a ways to go. How can it only be three weeks until Christmas? It seems to go quicker every year! Take Care. Oh, by the way, I've rated and commented on your photo, as well.:)

i am studiously avoiding the crowds this christmas. dust collectors alright! there is this White Elephant Gift exchange that my cell group did last year. it was hilarious. basically you wrap up your favourite dust collectors given by someone else (my friend who was a primary school teacher got LOADS of this from teachers day). and there's a draw and you unwrap the present to see whose ugly gift you got. it was fun.

I am almost finished shopping. I have to buy my niece and nephew a gift and finish for my dad. I am waiting until we get to my parents house to finish the stocking shopping. I think I am going to start wrapping gifts tonight. I thought maybe I would do it yesterday but I only got as far as putting some names on tags. I am dragging my feet, but I am absolutely not waiting until the last minute this year! I always do that, then I am up all night on Christmas Eve. My husband is a terrible wrapper so I have to do it all on my own. My closet is full of presents, so I guess I should start soon.

congrats on being almost done!! I think you should at least cut out a tree from paper and color it and hang on the wall...you need something for all those presents!!! If its flat on the wall you won't have to worry about it getting knocked down!! My parents used to put their tree in an old wooden playpen while the kids and grandkids were little - that way the tree couldn't really be bumped into. And it always made a good conversation starter for people. Merry Christmas!!
