I need help finding the right words!

As some of you know I have a new job. I will be writing a policy and procedure manual for a sleep lab. I also will be writing the application so they can apply for accredication.
The first task I have to do is to write a Mission statement!
Has anyone of you in Cyperworld written a mission statement and could someone give me ideas on where to begin.

I would start with the basics. What, where, when, why, and how. Then put the goal of the studies in the middle of the paper and then cluster around it. After that, do some brainstorming. I have never written a mission statement, but I am a writer. This is what I use when I am stuck. Best wishes.
