I messed up on my last discussion and since I can't edit or comment until someone else does, I have to start a new discussion. I was asking about XActive. Duh! It's not XActive, it's ActiveX. Again, anyone know whether it is safe to download this or not? TIA

Many things use activex so just install it if you think there is a need.
If something legitimate asks to be installed via activex, it is ok.
If something malicious asks to be installed via activex, it is not.
So the question is not really activex, but what program it is.
But hey, if you use Firefox as your browser, I don't thin you would get this "problem".
